Our Mission
To glorify God by providing quality Christ-centered early childhood education dedicated to children’s spiritual, social-emotional, physical and cognitive development.
Our Philosophy
We believe that every child deserves the heritage of knowledge of God and His Son, and without it, education is not complete. It is our desire to partner with families and to provide a high quality program designed to promote the spiritual, physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of each child. We believe each child is a unique being, deserving of love, respect, care and a healthy educational experience.
Our Early Education Team
All of our early education professionals profess faith in Jesus Christ. All staff are certified in pediatric First Aid. Our teachers are highly trained and receive a minimum of twelve hours of annual professional development in the field of early education. Currently, the average staff member has served at the Early Learning Center (formerly MorningStar) for 5 years or more, with several of our team here for over ten years. When hired, all staff complete the Pennsylvania Criminal and Child Abuse background checks and FBI fingerprinting as required by the Department of Public Welfare.
Accreditations
Lititz Christian School and Early Learning Center is accredited by ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International). The Early Learning Center is annually inspected and certified by the U.S. Department of Public Welfare and participates in PA Keystone STARS program. We are currently designated as a STAR 3 program.
Student Assessment
Student assessment is reported to parents by way of Progress Reports or Report Cards. Progress Reports are a guide to your child’s progress conducted through on-going formal and informal evaluations and assessments conducted by the teacher(s). Parent teacher meetings or conferences are held toward the end of January and are available when desired throughout the school year.
Lititz Christian School Transition
The Early Learning Center at Lititz Christian School serves children through pre-Kindergarten. Students can continue their education by transitioning to kindergarten at Lititz Christian, an ACSI Certified school. We serve student’s educational, spiritual, and social needs through grade 12. The Early Learning Center provides a before/after school program.
