Lititz Christian equipped me with the resources and inspiration to pursue careers that I love. During my freshman and sophomore years of high school I attended Lititz Christian. I joined the after school club where I discovered my love for both rock climbing and working with pottery.
As I kept working under the teaching of art teacher, Mr. Haley Pankratz, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in ceramics. Following my graduation, I immediately moved to Indiana to work with a ceramic company called MudLOVE, an organization with a mission that uses pottery to launch clean water projects in Africa.
As I began to miss the familiarity of Lancaster, I decided it was time to move back home. Not knowing what was next and needing to find a job, I looked into the climbing gym where I used to climb with the kids at Lititz Christian. God’s timing was perfect, as a position had just opened up. I was in awe as I settled into a rhythm of climbing and building relationships with others.
I will forever be grateful for Mr. Pankratz and the influence of Lititz Christian in my life. It was here that my passions for climbing and pottery were realized. It is a joy to be able to pursue Christ, serving him and others through work that I love.
