My name is Savannah and I am a senior at Lititz Christian School, graduating this June 2018. I have visited the country of Haiti for the past 3 summers with my church. Each trip has created new memories, new relationships, and a greater passion for God’s creation. These trips have also given me a special time to get closer to my mom as we travel and serve the people we meet together. Every year that we go to Haiti, my church organizes a week long VBS in the morning, allowing time during the afternoons to build relationships with the children and house parents at the village.
This past year, I had the opportunity to visit a local hospital in Cap-Haitien, Haiti and was overwhelmed by the poor conditions the people must endure when in need of medical care. That experience lead me to have a desire to attend college to become a neonatal nurse, traveling wherever God calls me to help others in need. I feel called to this vocation and ministry, and am very excited at the possibilities that are to come.
